13 Questions to Ask?
TEST-DAY TIPS AND TOOLS

1. Have four sharpened # 2 yellow pencils with eraser

2. Have an extra eraser (test on paper ahead of time to rub off film)

3. Replace batteries in calculator (check that they are working)
Make sure your calculator is acceptable: You may not use any of the following: personal digital assistants (PDAs), handheld mini computers, electronic writing pads or pen input devices, calculators with typewriter-style keypads (known as “QWERTY”), calculators that make noise, calculators that require an electrical outlet
Bring extra batteries for calculator (test ahead of time)

4. Wear a watch (without an audible alarm)

5. Bring drinks and snacks for breaks (Do not bring anything that could upset your stomach or anything that you have not eaten or had to drink before) Get up at all breaks to use the restroom, stretch, splash water on your face, eat your snack and try to keep hydrated

6. Bring your ID card and admission ticket
(Acceptable photo IDs: driver’s license (with your photo),school identification card, valid passport, student ID form that has been prepared by your school on school stationary and includes your picture and school seal)

7. Bring an over the counter pain reliever (Tylenol, Advil etc. in case of an unexpected headache, ache or pain)

8. Dress in layers! In the summer it will be HOT in the AM and gradually get cooler as the A/C gets going. In the winter it will be COLD in the AM and gradually get warmer as the heat gets going. Try to avoid distractions related to inconsistency with your body temperature.

9. Get a good night’s sleep and be sure to get up in plenty of time to have breakfast and arrive early at the testing center.
